The HCS Brass Deflector is a must have item that will re-direct the hot brass that is expelled from your AR type weapon. This product was developed from the need for helicopter pilots to be able to deploy their rifles and not have spent brass flying around the cockpit. Householder Crystal Springs developed this deflector to re-route the spent brass down and forward. This greatly reduces incidents of hot brass going down the neck of your buddy's vest during close quarter situations. The HCS Brass Deflector comes in two versions for AR style weapons. This version mounts to the AR carry handle. Another version is available for flat-top rail mounting. The spring loaded gate opens rapidly to allow quick access to the chamber to clear misfires and to ensure that the weapon is clear by visual inspection. The deflectors will operate in conjunction with most optical sites and are compatible with the EO-Tech family of holographic sites as well as the Aimpoint red dot site. The deflectors will mount on all Picatinny rail systems, and most aftermarket rails. Made of mil spec stainless steel and coated with an industrial primer that bonds to the metal for long life and durability. This product is covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
