Side Laser Aiming Mount was originally designed for the M107 to mount a PEQ 2 allowing the top rail to have room for the UNS or other optical systems. The SLAM is designed to mount to any MIL STD 1913 (also called Picatinny) rail and then drops down and offers a Picatinny rail at the 3 or 9 o'clock position for a laser or light, etc. They are finished with Mil Spec Black Oxide.
